That Sony Pictures was brought to its knees by North Korean hackers (at least according to the FBI) has become even more embarrassing given that North Korea’s entire Internet was taken down for several hours yesterday, most likely the result of a denial of service attack. It turns out that North Korea doesn’t have much Internet. If I am reading the linked news article correctly, the entire country gets by on a bandwidth of just 2.5 gigabytes per second and a mere 1,024 IP addresses. Again, that’s for the entire nation. And Sony Pictures was brought down by that?
