By now I am sure you are aware of the violence occurring in Baltimore. It’s a blight on any city when the unproductive destroy the work of the productive, and that’s what we’ve seen with riots in Ferguson and now in Baltimore, which, by the way, is run completely by Democrats. Saturday evening, in fact, Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake asserted:
BLAKE: I’ve made it very clear that I, um, work with the police and instructed them to do everything that they could to make sure that the protesters were able to exercise their, uh, right to free speech. It’s a very delicate balancing act because while we, uh, try to make that they were protected from the cars and the other, y’know, things that were going on. We also gave those who wished to destroy, space to do that as well.
What kind of balancing act is that? If law enforcement is allowing lawlessness by giving thugs “space to destroy,” then what exactly is balanced? It seems to what the mayor describes as a balancing act is really nothing more than the absence of law and order.
