Tiger football 2015

The Memphis Tigers started the 2015 football season where the 2014 season ended: by winning. The Tigers pounded visiting Missouri State 63-7.

It wasn’t that long ago that Memphis was on the short end of scores like that. It wasn’t that long ago that we were one of the worst programs in Division I. For that reason, I still savor every victory and take nothing for granted.

The Tigers have now won 8 straight games, which ties a school record. There were more than 41,000 fans at the Liberty Bowl on a sweltering late afternoon of a typical Memphis summer.

It was wonderful to be there.
