Even in the aftermath of Friday’s terrorist attack in Paris, Democrats are still completely dissociated from the reality that militant Islam is a continued threat to the Western/free world. There are a number of leftists who insist climate change is the most signicant threat we face, and Bernie Sanders has gone so far as to say, as recently as two days ago, that climate change is a root cause of Islamic terrorism.
If would be funny if it were satire, but Democrats are serious about this, and so it isn’t funny at all. It is a deadly serious game they play in minimizing the threat posed to us by militant Islam. Instead, they wring their hands over the climate change hoax. Manmade climate change is not occurring. None of the doomsday predictions made by leftists has come to pass. There is no evidence the earth is even warming. The only “evidence” are highly suspect climate models that project catastrophe 50 or 100 years into the future. Meanwhile, the evidence of militant Islam is all around us. Leave it to the Democrats to assert that the non-evidence outweighs the evidence. Heck, the Democrats are so steeped in political correctness that they can’t even call terrorism terrorism. Nor are they willing to state the obvious: that militant Muslims are motivated by their I-D-E-O-L-O-G-Y.
So this brings me to a conclusion, of sorts. You’ve got a handful of milquetoast Republicans currently running for president who are touting their ability to “cross the aisle and work with the other side to get things done” as a reason to elect them. I’m thinking Jeb Bush here. And so I would ask him, or any Republican who wants to “cross the aisle,” given the left’s stance on terrorism, how do you plan to compromise with them? How do you work with these kooks on matters of life and death?
