An odd glow to the sky

Yesterday we measured almost an inch-and-a-half of rain in Mt. Juliet. It had been a while since our last good rain, and so the ground soaked it right up. Even after the rain ended early in the afternoon, it stayed cloudy. Around sunset, the clouds started to thin out and it helped render an eerie kind of sunset that lasted for only a few minutes. It’s the kind of sunset you only see a few times a year, very difficult to capture in photograph, although I tried my best.
