Hillary Clinton is blaming her e-mail scandal on…wait for it…the vast right-wing conspiracy. Yes, the dreaded VRWC has made a reappearance in the Clinton lexicon. Just like the VRWC forced President Clinton to consort with a White House intern back in the 1990’s, two decades later the VRWC forced Secretary Clinton to set up a private e-mail server and handle classified information outside government firewalls.
“It is alarming that the intelligence community [IG], working with Republicans in Congress, continues to selectively leak materials in order to resurface the same allegations and try to hurt Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign,” said her press secretary, Brian Fallon.
How typically Clinton. No matter how dishonest, debauched, disreputable, or debased their behavior, the Clintons are never responsible for anything. Their misdeeds are always the fault of someone else, or altogether fabricated by political opportunists. The trouble is, they’ve never been held accountable for anything, with the exception of Bill’s impeachment, and that didn’t really seem to do him any permanent harm.
In all candidness, I wish there were a VRWC. If there were such a thing, and it were banded together in opposition to the Democrats, we wouldn’t have half the problems we do today. The funny thing is, I wish some of the accusations the left makes of the GOP were actually true. Instead of the many-headed monster the Democrats make the GOP out to be, all we’ve really got are a bunch of milquetoast establishment types who are afraid of their own shadows. I’ve also heard it said that Rush Limbaugh is the titular head of the GOP. It’s totally not true, but how I wish it were. The GOP would be far more robust and formidable if Rush were the head.
