It is legal to kill your unborn child in the name of choice. A man can marry another man and a woman can marry another woman. But a high school football coach cannot pray with his football team.
Islamic militants murder non-Muslims in the name of Allah in the most barbaric means imaginable. We are told we must not judge and then we ask ourselves what we have done to make them so angry. If you speak out against Islam in any way, you are called an Islamophobe. But if a gunman here in the U.S. commits a mass shooting, we immediately look for a connection to the right wing so we can judge.
Every mass shooting is met with immediate demands for gun control. Even though mass shootings almost always occur in gun-free zones, our solution to mass shootings is more gun-free zones.
We pollute the internet and online forums with the most vile images and language imaginable. Social media and the comments sections of news sites and blogs are filled with savagery and name calling. Incivility toward one another is routine. But we can’t mention God in many sectors because it might offend someone.
We are told we have to be tolerant of alternative lifestyles, and the more deviant, the better. But if you suggest that men should only use the men’s restroom, you’re a bigot and a homophobe.
Biblical truth is considered hate speech. That which is good and just is considered intolerable, and what we once considered intolerable is now considered good and just.
We are lied to about the climate and told we must make sacrifices and reduce our lifestyles by those who live extravagant lifestyles and have no intention of making sacrifices.
We are called greedy and wasteful by those whose greed and lust for power and other people’s money is insatiable.
We are told to drive smaller cars by politicians who travel in motorcades.
Entertainers cancel concerts over laws they say are homophobic, but then perform in Middle Eastern nations where they sometimes execute homosexuals.
We are told that capitalism and American greed are the source of many of the world’s troubles, when it is capitalism and Americanism which has produced vast wealth and technology that has been shared abundantly with poorer (often socialist) nations.
We are told that capitalism has been a failure and that we should try socialism, when it is our dalliance with socialism that is wrecking our economy and healthcare system.
The phrase “Black lives matter” has become a rallying cry for social justice warriors. The phrase “All lives matter” is now considered racist.
We are told we should give up our guns by politicians who are heavily protected by agents carrying guns.
Indeed, we are told we cannot force our morality on others by those who daily try to foist their immorality on the rest of us, and then we are called bigots and homophobes if we resist.
We think all this is new, as we are observing the decay and rot of society right in front of us. But the wise King Solomon wrote nearly 3,000 years ago that there is nothing new under the sun.
And Paul wrote in his letter to the Christians in Rome more than 1,900 years ago, “And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.”
