You won’t find a more partisan, more pompous horse’s rear end than Senator Harry Reid. (And I apologize for my lack of decorum.) From the time he lied about Mitt Romney not paying his taxes — and Romney never fought back — until now, whether in the majority or the minority, Harry Reid lies about and mischaracterizes his political opponents, and how I wish there were a Republican willing to throw it back at him.
Most recently, the Nevada Democrat said of Senator Mitch McConnell, “Since Sen. McConnell has so enthusiastically embraced Trump, we can only assume he agrees with Trump’s view that women are dogs and pigs,” and that “When they get together, they can talk about their policies about being anti-woman.”
I’m really sick of all this war on women tripe from the Democrats, and I fully support the GOP engaging in trench warfare.
For example, we all know Senator Reid supports gun control. Pretty much all Democrats do. So why not fight fire with fire? Let a Republican senator take to the floor and call out Senator Reid, something like, “You know, it’s no secret that Harry Reid advocates gun control. Why, he doesn’t even believe women should have the right to arm themselves against would-be male attackers. This must mean Harry Reid supports rape. So I’d like to ask Senator Reid why he supports rape.”
Now, you might see that as a distortion of Harry Reid’s position. I don’t personally believe that Harry Reid supports rape. But this is exactly the sort of thing Harry Reid says about Republicans. So every time Senator Reid spouts this sort of tripe, let a Republican give it right back to him and put him on defense and force him to answer. And when he demands an apology, demand an apology from him. This may seem like gutter politics, and it is, but it’s the route Democrats have chosen. The GOP can either fight back in like manner or continue to be pushed around and bullied.
