The narrative

There is a narrative out there being propagated by the left that law enforcement in the U.S. is rife with racism and that white police officers are targeting young, unarmed black males. The political left and the race industry (including the despicable reverends) point to a handful of young black males who have been killed by white police officers as evidence for an entire movement that calls itself Black Lives Matter.

The trouble is, the facts simply don’t support the narrative. The narrative is built upon a false premise. The institutionalized racism supposedly built into law enforcement does not exist. The facts don’t support any part of the narrative. But that hasn’t stopped the narrative from snowballing to the point that we saw five Dallas police officers murdered Thursday night during a Black Lives Matter protest by a black man who told police he wanted to kill white people and white police officers and has been photographed training with Black Panthers.

And so I ask, where is the real racism?

On Friday’s Rush Limbaugh Show, the Maha Rushie had as a guest Heather MacDonald, author of the book “The War on Cops.” It was a lengthy interview, and I have included some facts and statistics below that were taken from the interview:

* Twelve percent of all whites and Hispanics who die of homicide are killed by police officers. Four percent of all black homicide victims are killed by police officers.

* More than 6,000 blacks die of homicide each year. That is more than white and Hispanic homicide victims combined, even though blacks are 13 percent of the nation’s population. And the reason they are dying of homicide at a rate six times higher than whites and Hispanics combined is because they commit homicide at eight times the rate of whites and Hispanics combined.

* Over the last decade, black males made up 40 percent of all cop killers, even though they’re six percent of the population. A police officer is eighteen-and-a-half times more likely to be killed by a black male than an unarmed black male is likely to be killed by a police officer.

* What happened in Dallas is an extreme version of what officers are experiencing every day. It’s why we have seen a 17 percent increase in homicides last year in the 56 largest cities — an almost unprecedented one-year spike in homicides because officers are backing off of proactive policing.

Of course, none of this will be allowed to affect the narrative. The narrative is carved in stone. Any facts — and there are plenty — that might upset the narrative will be dismissed and ignored. The narrative will be protected at all cost. This is liberalism. This is how it works. This is why liberals must be defeated at the ballot box if we are to save what’s left of this great nation.
