The big lie

How can Barack Obama’s approval rating be 58% after all the destruction he has brought to this country in 8 years? How can Hillary Clinton get so close to the presidency when she should be under indictment? How can liberalism win so much when it’s results are so disastrous?

It all has to do with the big lie. Liberals routinely lie about their intentions and they also lie about the results of their policies. They not only lie, but they also project the realities of liberalism onto their political opponents. Just look at Hillary Clinton’s Twitter feed sometime. She accuses Donald Trump of lying to the American people when she is a pathological liar. She accuses Donald Trump’s words of making America unsafe when it is her own actions that have contributed to the increasing threat of radical Islam. And she accuses Donald Trump of being unfit for high office when her own health is highly questionable.

It all goes back to a quote attributed to Joseph Goebbels, who was the minister of propaganda during Germany’s Third Reich. In other words, he did for Adolph Hitler what the mainstream press does for the Democrat Party today.

If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.

FDR once remarked we have nothing to fear but fear itself. But what the left fears most is the truth. This is why they so disdain conservatives, Rush Limbaugh, Donald Trump, and Trump supporters more than they disdain militant Islam. Not only do we not believe their lies, but we lift the veil and expose statism and statists for what and who they are. Unfortunately, a sizable portion of the American electorate is what Rush Limbaugh calls “the low information voter.” They aren’t informed to any great degree and believe whatever pop culture and social media tell them to believe without question. In other words, they believe the big lie. If this number ever exceeds 50% of the electorate, we are doomed as a nation.
